Caleb Willitz is a Chicago musician, sound/visual artist, audio engineer/producer, and community venue curator.

…is it possible to work visually with the same spirit that free-improvising musicians work with sound?

Morning Improvisations / Evening Abstractions is my collaboration with Elijah McLaughlin and is released on Centripetal Force records (2024). Aquarium Drunkard says it is a “love letter to the Chicago experimental music scene.”

“Home” is an LP of country songs interpreted by a band of 8 improvising musicians, Fred Lonberg-Holm, Rami Atassi, Greg Ward, Edward Wilkerson, Tatsu Aoki, Charles Rumback, Tara Smith, and Raul Cotaquispe. (2017)

“Synoptic Optiks” is my collaboration with Greg Ward that features Dave Miller, Fred Lonberg-Holm, Jeff Parker, Dominic Johnson, and Makaya McCraven. (2014)
